Assistant Professor, Dept. of Biological Sciences, KAIST
During my Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr. Chaok Seok, I developed programs for protein structure prediction and protein-ligand docking, and participated in multiple CASP experiments. I then conducted my postdoctoral studies in the group of Dr. David Baker (Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, 2024), where I focused on the design and experimental characterization of de novo proteins that interact with chemical groups, as well as the development of deep-learning-based methods for atomic-level protein design. My expertise lies in developing AI-based methods for protein design and integrating computational and experimental approaches. I have extensive experience working in highly collaborative and international research environments.
