Prof. Taewon Song has been selected for the 2026 National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) Young Scientist Grant (Type A). The selected project is titled “Ambient IoT-Driven Ultra Low-Power and Ultra High-Density Edge-Intelligent Network Architecture for Smart Cities.” This research aims to develop next-generation Ambient IoT networks and edge-intelligent smart city network architectures designed to operate in ultra-low-power and ultra-high-density environments. The project will be supported by the NRF for three years starting in 2026, with annual direct funding of KRW 80 million.
