BIO

Born in 1979 in Barcelona (Catalonia) I am an illustrator and comic artist living in Paris (France). I can say too that I hold a PhD in Mathematics and that I have taught mathematics for a living most of my working life.

Although I have always liked the arts, my arts career only kicks off when in Montreal (Québec, Canada) between 2014 and 2017 when I published some work in Planches and fullfilled a couple of commissions for the CAC of Cégep Rosemont where I had previously attended Jimmy Beaulieu's comic art workshop. I actively participated in the project Dessinons les élections in 2017.

I have many ongoing personal projects not yet pitched to editors and I gladly take commissions (I enjoy this kind of work).

I am quite eclectic in my style although I favour sharp lines, beautiful paper originals and vivid colors. My subjects range from

• the quite abstract (Les monstres mous...WIP),
• the paedagogic and militant (for instance my last commission for the CDPDJ that will soon be visible in the province of Québec)
• up to the quite crassly and absurdly nihilistic with (Garabato, Gribouillis) in the guise of fanzines.

I draw and write most of my work, although I enjoy working with script writers too.

For the last five years I have taken to collage and I happen to enjoy it greatly.

I am a user of free software (GIMP, inkscape, libreoffice...you name it).

I fluently speak and write Spanish, Catalan, French and English I understand quite well Italian and Portugese and I have some notions of German. Not sure this is the place for this info but one never knows, does one?
