A founding member of AIMS in 2009, Dr. Ruth Carden's work in zooarcheology is rebuilding the foundations of Irish ecology, bone fragment by bone fragment. Her Irish Cave Bone project goes from strength to strength, shining a light on new knowledge.

Currently a postdoctoral researcher in Cornell CALS, moving to Oregon State University as Assistant Professor, Dr. Twining's work as a quantitative and population ecologist has advanced our understanding of biodiversity patterns, a notable case in Ireland being the interaction of Pine Marten and squirrel spp.
