Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sow delivered an expert lecture at the National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR–NIO), Goa, on ‘Superhydrophobic–Superhydrophilic Materials for Efficient Oil–Water Separation’ on 20th March 2025.

Priyanka Sahoo received the award for One of the top five recipients of the "Best Flash Talk" Presentation Award on National Science Day, 2025 ceremony, held on National Science Day (February 28, 2025) at BITS Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus. Title of Priyanka's talk: "Continuous Flow Oil-Water Separation System Using Smart Separators Capable of Low-Voltage Wettability Switching." Congratulations Priyanka!

Prof. Pradeep Kumar Sow and Prof. Richa Singhal jointly received "The Director’s Award for Highly Cited Paper in the Last 5 Years (STEM)" at the 2024 Research Awards ceremony, held on National Science Day (February 28, 2025) at BITS Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus. The award recognizes their paper titled "Fabricating low-cost, robust superhydrophobic coatings with re-entrant topology for self-cleaning, corrosion inhibition, and oil-water separation" published in the Journal of Colloid and Interface Science. The paper's other co-authors are Priyanka Sahoo and Shriram Radhakanth.

Mr Ravi (Director General ONGC Energy Centre) and Dr Parvatalu Damaraju (Domain Expert- Hydrogen Program) visited AIMES Lab (15th November 2023) for collaborative research on Hydrogen production technologies.
The visit included a brief presentation, prototype demonstration and technology showcase by the AIMES lab team.

The near-spherical water droplet shape arises from the multiscale microstructure on the butterfly wings.
