Hi, I'm Aimee Clayton!
I love languages, cultures, and helping people feel confident communicating in English. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Linguistics with a TESOL certificate from Brigham Young University, and I’m currently working on my Master’s in TESOL at BYU as well.
For the past three years, I’ve taught a variety of classes at the English Language Center at BYU, working with students from all over the world. I also have experience tutoring Division I student-athletes, which got me really interested in the world of sports and communication. One of my goals is to become an oral communication specialist for professional athletes—helping them feel comfortable and capable using English both on and off the field.
I love using what I’ve learned in my TESOL studies to create meaningful and engaging lessons. On this site, you’ll find my teaching philosophy, some of my lesson plans, and materials I’ve put together over the years.
Take a look around and feel free to reach out if you’d like to connect!
