This project is exploring peripheral Great Salt Lake wetland water levels and available American white pelican foraging habitat. Essentially I'll be creating a water level model using Great Salt Lake bathymetry data and estimating water levels around the lake. From those water level estimates, I'm going to try to calculate how much wetland area is submerged at a given water level and is therefore available for pelicans to feed in.
I've used the MDPI Water journal as a reference, and used their manuscript template for my draft.
I still have some info to add, including piezometer data info and how it was used and add the abstract and more to the discussion.
I just threw some information on slides, so I need to go back through and make sure it's coherent and relevant.
My format will be a live PowerPoint presentation. I've also created a couple standalone maps.
What else needs to be added?
I need to expand some more on the actual prediction capability of my wetland model, not just talk about correlation between the Saline gage and piezometer data. I also need to finish typing up the discussion and add some polish to both the paper and presentation. Figures and tables need to be ordered and I need to add references to them in the text of my manuscript.
What else needs to be changed?
I need to change the format of the references in my manuscript and PowerPoint, because my reference manager is doing weird things I haven't had time to fix. I also need to fix a typo on one of my maps (counted the wrong number of piezometer points). Not much else though beyond adding info/polishing.
