Applied and Industrial Microbiology Lab. (AIM Lab)
Applied and Industrial Microbiology Lab (AIM Lab.) at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Seoul, Korea, is a multidisciplinary research group focused on developing advanced microbial platforms for the sustainable production of value-added chemicals—including biofuels, biochemicals, and biopolymers—from renewable resources such as carbon dioxide, lignocellulosic biomass, and plastic waste. Our lab is pioneering innovations in the field of bio-refinery, aiming to establish a new paradigm for the chemical industry that promotes carbon neutrality and sustainable green growth.
