The HR Department of 3rd year, Institute of Engineering and Management has formed the HR club and has inaugurated its first newsletter publication on 21/10/2022. In inauguration day the first newsletter was published and continued its journey. On the inauguration day Prof. Subrata Basak, the Principal of ASHRAM Campus, Departmental Head Prof. Dr. Rabin Majumder Sir, Prof. Dibyendu Chattaraj, Assistant HOD-BBA, Dr. Saikat Chakrabarti, Chairperson of HR – Club and Course Coordinator - BBA and all other respected departmental faculty members  were present.At first a short presentation of the club was shown and all about its activities that will be done were explained. After the presentation the respected Professors along with our respected HOD Sir shared their valuable words and lightened up our HR club towards the way of success. 

During the first phase of the event a speech was given by the Chairperson of the HR Club,  Prof. Dr. Saikat Chakrabarti. In his speech he explained the purpose of this club,  plans and future events etc. He then requested all the Professors of BBA department one by to click the links which are present in the newsletter and showed all the news related to HR topics. 

AIKYAM , the HR Club of Department of Business Administration organized their 2nd. Event , ie, Panel Discussion on 11th. of November, 2022, Friday. The event started at 3.20pm and continued till 5pm. The Speakers of this event was Ms. Sujata Datta, GM-HR & Admin., WBPDCL and Mr Tarit Bhowmik, Ex-VP HR, BOC, Kolkata. The Moderator of this event was Prof. (Dr.) Saikat Chakrabarti, Associate Professor-HRM, Department of BBA and Faculty Coordinator - HR Club. The main purpose of this event was to bridge the gap between the theory and practice, so, the topic the Panel Discussion was thoughtfully selected. The topic was : How to Win the Day-to-day HR Challenges. All the departmental faculty members  supported this event whole heartedly and they came time to time after managing their busy work schedule to encourage the HR students.

AIKYAM-THE HR CLUB of BBA Department organized an industrial tour for their Final Year students at Jayashree Textile, Rishra, Hooghly, West Bengal on 28th January, 2023, Saturday. The intention behind organizing this tour is to give a practical exposure to all the students. The students availed college bus for the said purpose. The tour was organised by the initiative of Prof. (Dr.) Saikat Chakrabarti and Prof. Suchana Roy. The industry allowed maximum 25 students, so, after giving an option mainly HR specialization students opted for this trip. Along with Dr. Saikat Chakrabarti and Prof. Suchana Roy, 16 students visited Jayashree Textile Factory. The trip started at 11am and the students returned college at 7pm. During the visit the students saw how yarn is made; from yarn to dress materials are made and all other processes involved. Mainly they interacted with Mr. Amiruddin Hawari, Assistant Manager – HR and Mr. Debangsu Chakraborty, Sr. HR- Manager-HR and learnt the techniques of dealing with different critical situation and also learnt how to read the mind of the people at the time of handling contingencies.

AIKYAM, The HR CLUB of the Department of Business Administration (BBA), Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), Kolkata organised a Parental Counselling Session on 10th. February,2023 (Friday) . Dr. Ruma Basu Gomes, a renowned Counsellor and an NLP practitioner was the speaker of the session. The programme started at 4.15 pm. Respected Principal Madam, HODs, Assistant HODs and Faculty Members from BBA, BCA & MSC and the Parents / Guardians of the students  participated in the programme. The session was an interactive one. Dr. Gomes, in course of her speech, referred to quite a few of her real-life experiences and guided all the guardians as to how to deal with their wards/ children. The  focus of the discussion was on the proper ways of handling the problems arising out of over-use of mobile phones by the youth community.

AIKYAM-THE HR CLUB of BBA Department organized an industrial tour for their Final Year students at BMW INDUSTRIES  LTD, Andul, Mouri, Howrah, West Bengal on 7th October, 2023, Saturday. The intention behind organizing this tour is to give a practical exposure to all the students. The students availed college bus for the said purpose. The tour was organised by the initiative of Prof. (Dr.) Saikat Chakrabarti. The industry allowed maximum 25 students, so, after giving an option mainly HR specialization students opted for this trip. Along with Dr. Saikat Chakrabarti and , 20 students visited BMW Industries. The trip started at 8:30 am and the students returned college at 5pm. During the visit the students saw how steel bars and rods are made and all other processes involved. Mainly they interacted with Mr.Zamsher Khan - Safety Manager of BMW Industries and learnt the techniques of dealing with different critical situation and also learnt how to read the mind of the people at the time of handling contingencies. We were properly provided and equipped with Safety accessories due to the hazardous areas which we explored to learn about the processes.

Ms. Saheli Aich, The HR Professional at SB INFOWAVES, with her presence at INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT, Ashram Campus, HR Department, on 10th October, 2023, enlightened us with her knowledge about Compensation Management. She gave us a practical point of view on how to perform compensation activities in the corporate by keeping every aspect in mind. Her classes over the stretch of a week were extremely enlightening and mind bending.

Mr. Rajdeep Dutta, Director - VCENT Media, with his presence at INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT, Ashram Campus, HR Department, on 12th October, 2023, enlightened us with his knowledge about "HOW TO BRIDGE THE EXPECTATION GAP OF THE EMPLOYERS". His knowledge about the practical camaraderie between employees and employer knows no bound and the insights he shared on how to deal with employee expectations on a grass root level, really forged our mindset and we can apply it in the corporate.

On behalf of the HR Club AIKYAM we would like to express our gratitude to our Respected Principal Madam for launching our website. We are thankful to our HOD Sir, Assistant HOD Sir , all Faculty Members  and other colleagues for encouraging us in launching the website. We are thankful to Samrat Goswami Sir for the technical support and to all our students for the active participation. The event started at 4.45pm.  The Coordinators of this HR Club Activity were Dr. Saikat Chakrabarti, Prof. Sreeparna Guha & Prof. Suchana Roy.
