1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect the following information:

Name — to personalize your experience
Email address — for account authentication and communication
Country & Nationality — to suggest cuisine-specific meal recommendations
Gender — to tailor nutritional suggestions
Language preference — to display content in your preferred language

We also collect usage data such as saved meals, iftar/suhoor counts, and subscription status to provide and improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely for the following purposes:

Providing personalized meal suggestions based on your nationality and cuisine preferences
Managing your account and authentication
Processing subscriptions through Apple's App Store
Improving the app experience

3. AI Features & Data Processing

IMPORTANT — AI DATA PROCESSING

Our AI meal suggestion feature uses a third-party AI service to generate personalized recommendations. When you interact with the AI chat, the following data is sent to the AI service for processing:

Your chat messages (e.g., ingredient lists, meal preferences)
Your selected cuisine type and nationality (for culturally relevant suggestions)
Your first name and gender (for personalized responses)
Your selected language (so the AI responds in your language)

WHAT WE DO NOT SHARE

Your email address, password, location data, device information, and payment details are never sent to the AI service. The AI service does not store your conversations or use your data to train its models.

Data Minimization

We only send the minimum data necessary to generate relevant meal suggestions. Chat data is transmitted securely via encrypted HTTPS connections and is not retained by the AI service after processing your request.

No Advertising or Profiling

Your AI chat data is never used for advertising, user profiling, or any purpose other than generating meal suggestions within the app.

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) — for secure user account management and Sign in with Apple
Firebase Firestore (Google LLC) — for cloud storage of your profile and saved meals
Apple StoreKit — for subscription payment processing
Third-party AI service — for generating personalized meal suggestions (chat messages and cuisine preferences are processed as described in Section 3)

These services process only the minimum data necessary for their function. No personal data is shared for advertising, tracking, or profiling.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase Firestore with encryption in transit and at rest. AI chat data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. AI chat conversations are not stored on our servers — they exist only during your active session and are cleared when you close the app. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings menu within the app. When you delete your account, all your personal data, saved meals, and preferences are permanently removed from our servers.

7. Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Tracking & Advertising

We do not track users across apps or websites. We do not use any advertising SDKs. We do not share any data with advertisers. The app does not use the AppTrackingTransparency framework because no tracking occurs.

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using AI Iftar & Suhoor Planner ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

The App provides AI-powered meal suggestions for Ramadan iftar and suhoor meals. The App offers both free and premium (Pro) subscription tiers. AI suggestions are generated using a third-party AI service and are for informational purposes only. They should not replace professional dietary or medical advice.

3. Account Registration

You may create an account using Sign in with Apple or email registration.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
You must provide accurate information during registration.
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings menu within the App.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Free Plan: 3 AI meal suggestions per day at no cost.
Pro Plan: Unlimited AI meal suggestions for $4.99/month.

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store account settings after purchase. No refunds will be provided for any unused portion of a subscription period.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use the App for any unlawful purpose. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Meal suggestions are generated by artificial intelligence and may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific dietary needs. Always verify ingredients for allergies and consult a healthcare professional for dietary advice, especially during Ramadan fasting. We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated meal suggestions.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and functionality of the App are owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The meal suggestions generated by AI are provided for your personal use only.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI meal suggestions will meet specific dietary requirements or health needs.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

10. Apple's Standard EULA

In addition to these terms, your use of the App is subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
