Call for Papers
The main objectives of the workshop are to delve into how AI is shaping the financial sector's focus on social impact, responding to consumer consciousness and regulatory pressures. This event highlights AI's ethical applications, including the promotion of financial inclusion, facilitation of ESG investing, and the development of privacy-preserving solutions. Engage with industry and academia experts to exchange ideas and share best practices.
Topics for contributed papers should lie at the intersection of AI, Finance, and Social Good.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
Generative models and data-driven simulation
Planning, Search, Constraint-based Reasoning, Optimization, and Reinforcement Learning
Multi-agent systems and game-theoretic analysis of financial markets
Transformer models, Self-supervised Learning
Natural Language Processing, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Speech Analysis and Conversational Dialogue Modeling
Meta Learning, Federated Learning, Representation Learning, Causal Learning and Transfer Learning

Combating Financial Crime including Fraud Detection
Developing and implementing AI solutions for ESG (environmental, social, and governance) investing

Financial safety and education for vulnerable and/or underrepresented populations
Large language models for socially responsible finance
Decentralized Finance (DeFi) frameworks \& benchmarks
Bias analysis and mitigation in AI Models for financial decision making

Submission Details
All contributions must be original and unpublished, and should not be under consideration by other conferences or journals. Submissions will undergo a peer review process using a double-blind system. The evaluation criteria include relevance to the workshop, novelty, technical contribution, impact significance, clarity, and reproducibility. To ensure consistency, all submissions must adhere to the AAAI-24 formatting guidelines (https://aaai.org/aaai-conference/submission-instructions/) and utilize the corresponding LaTeX style files.
Three types of submissions are accepted:
full research papers, which should not exceed 8 pages (including references)
short/poster papers, which should not exceed 4 pages (including references)
extended abstracts which should not exceed 2 pages (including references). These abstracts serve as a platform for initial idea exploration.

Accepted papers require in-person presentation by at least one author. All accepted papers will be published on the workshop website, and authors are encouraged to also share their work on platforms like arXiv or other online repositories.
