Point One ("we", "our", or "us") operates the AI Education mobile application (the "Service" or "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of user data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data under Google Play's User Data Policies.
Data Architecture Summary: AI Education is designed with a "Local-First" architecture. Your personal study notes, chat histories, flashcards, and preferences are stored locally on your device's memory. We do not operate proprietary database servers to collect or store your inputs.
1. Information We Collect and Process
While using our Service, we process different types of user data to provide the App's core functionalities:
A. User Inputs & AI Queries
Text Queries: Text questions you type for the AI Tutor are processed in real-time through secure APIs (Google Gemini) to generate answers.
Audio & Voice Data: When you use the Voice Chat feature, voice inputs are captured to convert speech to queries. Voice data is processed transiently and is not stored by us.
Images & PDFs: Images attached for visual context or PDF files scanned for summarization are processed securely. We do not store these files on any cloud servers.
B. Device Permissions & Data Access
To provide full functionality, the App requests access to the following permissions. We only access these when explicitly initiated by you:
Camera Permission: Used to capture photos of study materials or books to attach as reference images for the AI Tutor.
Record Audio Permission: Used to capture your voice queries during the interactive AI Voice Chat mode.
Storage Access: Used to select PDF documents or photos from your device gallery for analysis and to save generated AI artwork to your device's gallery.
2. How We Share and Disclose Data
We do not sell, trade, rent, or monetize your data. To perform the Service, we use reputable third-party AI service providers. These integrations are secure and encrypted:
Google Gemini API: Processes text, audio, and documents for tutor responses.
Runware AI API: Processes text prompts to generate and edit images in the Creative Studio.
All data sent to these APIs is encrypted in transit via standard HTTPS protocol.
3. Data Retention and Deletion Rights
Since your chat history, study streaks, and quiz statistics are stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your data:
You can instantly delete all chat history using the "Clear Chat History" button in the App's settings.
You can permanently wipe all local databases and preferences by clearing the App's storage and cache in your device's Android settings.
Uninstalling the App will automatically remove all data associated with it.
4. Children's Privacy
AI Education is designed to be an educational tool for students. We do not knowingly collect or request personal data from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your country). If we discover that any children's data has been collected without parental consent, we will take immediate steps to clear it.
5. UGC (User Generated Content) Policy
Our Creative AI Image Studio allows users to generate visuals. To ensure safety, we provide an in-app Report Content feature. If the AI generates objectionable material, you can report it, and the image will be blocked and deleted immediately from your device's cache.
