We're the North Carolina chapter of the Association for India's Development (AID) based in the Research Triangle Park (RTP) area. 

About AID

Association for India’s Development is a volunteer movement promoting sustainable, equitable and just development. AID supports grassroots organizations in India and initiates efforts in various interconnected spheres such as education, livelihoods, natural resources including land, water and energy, agriculture, health, women’s empowerment and social justice. 

Donations to AID are tax-deductible in the USA. It is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization with tax ID 04-3652609 

About AID NC RTP Chapter

AID NC RTP is North Carolina's local chapter of AID, active since 1997. We're a group of about 20 active volunteers supporting a rotation of about 20 active projects all over India. Chapter activities include reviewing and voting on project proposals, doing site visits for projects on the ground in India, organizing fundraising events locally in the RTP area, hosting speaker events in the RTP community for education and involvement of the local volunteers, supporters, and patrons, and engaging with the 35 other chapters of AID across USA and abroad for transfer of learning to better serve the marginalized communities in India we've been privileged to partner with for sustainable development.
