Welcome to AICS EcoVision 2027, the official student-led sustainability event of the Amsterdam International Community School (AICS). Based in Amsterdam, AICS EcoVision brings together students from international schools across the Netherlands and Europe to explore sustainability, climate action, and innovative solutions to global environmental challenges.

Following the success of our inaugural event, we are excited to present the second edition of AICS EcoVision. Our mission is to provide an inspiring platform where students can collaborate, learn from industry experts, and develop the knowledge and skills needed to become the next generation of sustainability leaders.

Through engaging workshops, keynote speakers, interactive activities, and networking opportunities, AICS EcoVision encourages students to think critically about environmental issues and work together to create meaningful change. Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, our event highlights the importance of collaboration between schools, businesses, and communities.

As AICS EcoVision continues to grow, our commitment remains the same: to inspire young people, build lasting partnerships, and create an engaging event that empowers students to take action for a more sustainable future.

The AICS Eco-Club is a student-led group for students passionate about sustainability, the environment, and creating positive change in our community. From attending conferences to running school-wide initiatives, we work to make our school more environmentally friendly and to deepen our understanding of global issues.

The Eco-Club provides a platform for students to engage with environmental challenges and take real action. AICS EcoVision is one of our flagship projects, a student-led event that brings together young people from across the Netherlands and Europe to collaborate on sustainability solutions.

Now in its 6th year, our school-wide sustainability event brought together our over 2,200 AICS students across 42 workshops, with each year group exploring a different eco-themed topic linked to the Eco-Schools programme and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This year marked the second edition of a collaboration between the Global Citizenship Club and the Eco Club, uniting their shared passion for sustainability and global awareness. View the Website

Thursday, March 26th 2026

We hosted 45 Danish students (ages 14-18) who were visiting the Netherlands. They experienced a typical school day at AICS and learned about our sustainability work, Eco-Schools programme, and eco-projects. The exchange fostered meaningful connections between our schools and inspired new ideas for collaboration.

Tuesday, January 27th 2026

We organised our inaugural sustainability event, inviting students from international schools across the Netherlands for a day of workshops, activities, and guest speakers. We partnered with Vodafone, Eco-Schools, and The European Pizza Company for this event, welcoming over 100 attendees. Lunch was generously sponsored by New York Pizza!

This was the 2nd annual celebration of AICS receiving the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award. We celebrated by encouraging students and staff to wear green or blue to show their support for sustainability, giving out fruit to promote healthy living, and distributing seeded bookmarks, which students can use to keep track of where they are in their book and then simply plant it and watch it grow!
