I respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the AI Content Detector Chrome Extension (“the Extension”) collects, how it's used, and how your privacy is protected.

1. Information Collected

The Extension does not collect any personal information such as your name, email address, IP address, or account details.

It only processes the following, and only after user interaction:

• Selected or visible webpage content: Text from the current tab or selected area is sent to my secure backend server for analysis.
  
  

• Webpage URL: The URL of the current tab may be used to provide context to the analysis.
  
  

This information is not stored, logged, or shared.

2. Purpose of Data Use

The only purpose of processing this data is to determine whether the content is AI-generated. The data is processed temporarily and discarded immediately after the analysis is complete.

3. Data Sharing

No data is sold, shared, or transferred to any third party. Everything happens securely between the extension and my backend server hosted on Render.com.

4. Data Retention

I do not retain or store any of the data you send. There are no analytics, cookies, tracking, or profiling mechanisms used in this extension.

5. Security

The extension communicates only over secure HTTPS connections to ensure that your data is transmitted safely. I use standard security practices to protect your information during transmission.

6. Your Consent

By using this extension, you consent to the temporary processing of selected content for the sole purpose of AI content detection.
