Biography

l Education

Assist. Prof. Dr. Yu-Hsiu Lin was born in Taiwan in 1984. In 2014, he received his Doctoral degree in mechanical and electrical engineering from the Graduate Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, National Taipei University of Technology (國立台北科技大學), Taipei, Taiwan.

2 Work experience

– Since February of 2021, he has been with the Graduate Institute of Automation Technology, National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei City, Taiwan, where he is currently an Assistant Professor.

– From August of 2019 to January of 2021, he served as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Ming Chi University of Technology, New Taipei City, Taiwan.

– From August of 2018 to July of 2019, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Tainan City, Taiwan.

– From September of 2017 to July of 2018, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Information Management, Providence University, Taichung City, Taiwan.

– From October of 2014 to August of 2017, he worked as a Senior Engineer for Smart Network System Institute at Institute for Information Industry (III) in Taiwan. III was established in 1979 as an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) research institute to support information industry as well as information society in Taiwan under the supervision of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (Taiwan).

3 Academic activity

– He was the Technical Committee Member of 2019 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Power and Energy Applications.

– He is the team member of the Taiwan Organizing Core Team of International Conference ACM ICMR 2021. We won the bid for hosting this future international conference in Taipei, Taiwan.

4 Research awards

– He has received the Best Paper Award of The Seventh International Conference on Communications, Computation, Networks and Technologies INNOV 2018 (Paper: AMBTC-Based Data Hiding Using Intra- and Inter-Block Embedding Strategy; Authors: Yu-Hsiu Lin, Chih-Hsien Hsia, Bo-Yan Chen, Yung-Yao Chen^*).
