Our Graduate School Info Session and Panel on October 4th was a huge success! Attendees had a great time learning from current UW ChemE PhD and Master’s students about the grad school decision-making process and application tips. It was an engaging evening with lots of useful insights and plenty of pizza. Stay tuned for more events like this in the future !

On October 22nd, we had a chance to explore the West Point Treatment Plant, a wastewater treatment plant right here in Seattle! It was a great chance to learn more about opportunities for ChemE's in industry. Be on the look out for more tours!

Our Trick or Treat Event on Thursday, October 31st was a spooktacular success! From 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, we had fun handing out treats, showcasing creative costumes, and even a costume competition for a mystery surprise. Be sure to keep an eye out for more festive events like this in the future!

Our Bánh Mì Event on November 14th was the perfect pick-me-up during Week 8! It was a great chance to take a break and enjoy some delicious bites. Thanks to everyone who joined us – stay tuned for more tasty events to come!!

Our ChemE Undergraduate Poster Symposium (Chem-UPS) on November 21st was a great success! It was a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their research, make connections, and enjoy some snacks. Thanks to everyone who attended!

AIChE hosted an exciting hands-on STEM outreach event on Friday, January 17th, where attendees learned how to make edible alginate popping boba! Tata, a first-year grad student at UW, shared an engaging activity his team developed at the University of Utah, using food-safe chemicals to demonstrate hydrogels and food engineering. ChemE community members and STEM outreach enthusiasts joined in for a fun and educational experience—plus, everyone got to enjoy their homemade boba! 

We had our first AIChE general meeting on Tuesday, February 4th! Members had the chance to learn about our chapter, upcoming events, and ways to get involved. We gathered valuable feedback on the types of events members want to see—ranging from professional development to outreach opportunities. Our Trivia Night on February 11th was a huge success! The Benson UG Lounge was packed with members eager to test their knowledge, enjoy some friendly competition, and, of course, eat pizza.
