This Privacy Policy explains how Cleaning Tracker ("we", "our", or "the App") handles information when you use our mobile application and related services.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Cleaning Tracker is designed as an offline-first application, meaning your personal data and cleaning records remain under your control on your device.
1. Information We Collect and Store
A. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
Cleaning Tracker does not collect, transmit, or store your personal information on external servers. All information you create within the App is stored strictly on your local device, including:
Cleaning Routines & Tasks: Custom task names, categories/spaces (e.g., Kitchen, Bedroom), frequency schedules, and notes.
Cleaning History & Logs: Timestamps of completed cleanings, notes, streaks, and progress milestones.
User Preferences: Profile name, notification reminder preferences, preferred cleaning times, and sound settings.
B. Personal Information
We do not require you to create an account, log in with third-party credentials, or provide sensitive personal data to use the core features of the App.
2. Device Permissions and How We Use Them
The App may request the following permissions solely to provide core application functionality:
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used strictly to deliver local cleaning reminders and daily routine alerts that you have scheduled. No notification data or scheduling information is sent to external servers.
Storage / File Access (Optional / On-Demand): Used only when you explicitly choose to Export Backup, Import Backup, or Export CSV files to/from your device's file manager or download folder.
3. Third-Party Services and Analytics
No Tracking or Third-Party Analytics: We do not track your activity across other apps or websites, and we do not use third-party behavioral analytics or tracking SDKs.
No Advertisements: The App does not serve behavioral or targeted third-party advertising networks that collect advertising IDs.
4. Data Backup, Export, and Deletion
Data Ownership: You have full ownership of your data. You can export your routines and history anytime using the built-in Export Backup (JSON) or Export CSV features in the Settings menu.
Data Deletion: You can delete all your cleaning records and preferences at any time by selecting "Reset all tasks & history" in the Settings tab, or by clearing the App's data / uninstalling the App from your device.
Cleaning Tracker does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). Because all data remains stored locally on the user's device and no personal data is transmitted off-device, the App is safe for general audiences.
6. Security of Your Information
Because all your data is stored locally on your device, the security of your cleaning data depends on the security settings of your mobile device. We encourage you to use device-level security features such as PINs, passcodes, or biometrics.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
