2)SOP and Kaizen Implementation
3)Proposed New Layout Plan
During my time in the industry, I worked on projects to improve processes and efficiency. I implemented SOP and Kaizen methods, introduced a paperless documentation system, and proposed a new layout plan to optimize workflow. These experiences helped me apply analytical and problem-solving skills in a real-world setting
Paperless Documentation and Data Collection
I worked as an Industrial Engineer in the Finishing Department of a garment manufacturing company for one year. My main responsibility was to increase efficiency, but tracking individual worker efficiency was challenging since all data was collected on paper. Maintaining accurate worker data was essential for calculating efficiency.
To solve this, I introduced a cloud-based system using Google Sheets, where I recorded employee IDs, ranks, skills, and efficiency metrics. This allowed management to track real-time performance, forecast shipment dates, and improve production planning.
I designed the Google Sheets system in a way that was easy for everyone to understand. Each production zone had a dedicated sheet, and a designated person updated the data every hour. This enabled me to monitor hourly production and take immediate action when needed, something that was difficult with the traditional paper-based system.

SOP and Kaizen Implementation
SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) define step-by-step processes to ensure tasks are performed consistently and efficiently. They act as a guide for employees, promoting uniformity, reducing errors, and improving quality. Well-designed SOPs help industries run smoothly, even without constant supervision.
I developed SOPs for each operation and product, documenting them with data and efficiency metrics to optimize performance.
I implemented Kaizen principles to identify inefficiencies and make continuous improvements in processes. I also updated and standardized SOPs to sustain these improvements, ensuring long-term efficiency and productivity .

Proposed New Layout Plan
An efficient layout is essential for optimizing workflow, reducing unnecessary movement, and improving productivity. I proposed a new layout plan for the finishing area to establish a one-way flow, minimizing back-and-forth movement. This significantly reduced time waste and ensured a smoother production process
