If you want dedicated waterproof gear for pool laps and open water swimming, choose Aiandcc Swimming Headphones; if you need comfortable over-ear audio for TV watching, office work, or casual listening on land with your laptop, choose Sorandy Headphones Over Ear.
• Aiandcc Swimming Headphones: Its biggest strength is the IPX8 waterproof rating and built-in 32GB MP3 player that lets you swim without a phone; its trade-off is that Bluetooth simply cannot transmit underwater, so you must rely on pre-loaded tracks during aquatic activities. This pick is for serious swimmers and athletes who need to stay connected in the water.
• Sorandy Headphones Over Ear: Its biggest strength is the classic over-ear design with large 40mm drivers and noise-canceling capabilities for immersive listening on land; its trade-off is that it lacks any waterproof rating and is not designed for sweat or submersion. This pick is for home users, travelers, and anyone prioritizing comfort and sound quality while seated.
The Aiandcc model is engineered for one specific environment where standard electronics fail: deep water. It carries an IPX8 waterproof rating, which specifically supports immersion up to two meters for up to one hour. That level of sealing is non-negotiable for lap swimming, synchronized swimming, or diving into a pool. If you are looking for the best sleep headphones for macbook users who also happen to be night swimmers, this is the only logical choice because no other over-ear device offers this degree of protection against chlorine and fresh water.
What sets this apart from standard wireless earbuds is the dual-mode architecture. Since Bluetooth signals do not travel through water, the manufacturer has integrated a 32GB MP3 player directly into the unit. You can store up to 8,000 songs on the internal memory, meaning you never have to carry your phone into the pool. You switch between Bluetooth mode when you are running or cycling on dry land, and then seamlessly flip to MP3 mode once you hit the water. This independence is crucial for safety and convenience; you aren't tethered to a phone case that might float away or get damaged by the humidity.

The design philosophy here is entirely about security and durability rather than audiophile perfection. Weighing in at just 36.6 grams, the unit uses a flexible memory titanium frame that wraps securely around the head. It is an open-ear design, which keeps your ears unblocked so you can hear your coach or other swimmers nearby, adding a layer of situational awareness. It fits comfortably under swim caps and goggles, which is a common pain point for many swimmers who struggle with bulky gear. However, if you are looking for the best volume limiting head phones for macbook users who need total isolation from the world, this is not the tool for the job. The open-ear design means you will hear everything happening around you, even if you are wearing it.
In stark contrast, the Sorandy model is built for the living room, the office cubicle, and long flights. It is a traditional over-ear headset that prioritizes comfort and acoustic richness over ruggedness. The standout feature here is the inclusion of large 40mm speakers with a frequency range of 20Hz to 20KHz. This specification suggests a focus on delivering rich, deep bass and clear highs, making it ideal for music lovers who want a "heart-pounding" experience rather than just background noise. If you are searching for the best usb c charging headphone for macbook users who want high-fidelity audio for movies and gaming, this design aligns much better with those needs.
Comfort is another major selling point for this device. Made from lightweight ABS material, the build is designed to be worn for extended periods without causing fatigue. The over-ear cup design covers the entire ear, which naturally blocks out some ambient noise and creates a more immersive listening environment compared to the open-air feel of the Aiandcc. It supports a 3.5mm line control interface in addition to Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, giving you flexibility if your laptop or older devices don't support the latest wireless standards. The ability to connect via a physical cable ensures you never lose audio quality due to signal interference or latency issues.
However, this versatility comes with significant limitations regarding durability in active environments. There is no mention of water resistance or sweatproofing in the specifications. These headphones are not sealed against moisture, meaning they are unsuitable for running in the rain, heavy gym sessions, or any activity near water. They are strictly for stationary or low-movement use cases like traveling, watching TV, or working at a desk. The battery life is decent, powered by a 200mAh lithium-ion battery, but it is not designed for the multi-hour, high-intensity endurance required by competitive swimmers. It is a passive device that relies on the user bringing it to the music, not the music going wherever the user goes.

• Best for weight and fit under gear → Aiandcc Swimming Headphones. At 36.6g, they are significantly lighter and fit securely under swim caps and helmets.
• Best for long-distance travel comfort → Sorandy Headphones Over Ear. The over-ear cushioning and foldable design are superior for resting on planes or trains compared to the sport-focused fit of the Aiandcc.
• Best for independent playback without a phone → Aiandcc Swimming Headphones. With 32GB of internal storage, you can leave your phone at home and still take thousands of songs with you.
• Best for premium sound isolation → Sorandy Headphones Over Ear. The physical enclosure blocks outside noise far better than the open-ear technology of the Aiandcc.
I would buy the Aiandcc Swimming Headphones if my primary goal was to own a single device that could handle both my morning run and my evening swim without needing to swap gear. The ability to leave my phone behind while swimming is a game-changer that the Sorandy model simply cannot offer. However, for general daily use, especially for a MacBook setup, I recommend the Sorandy Headphones Over Ear. The sound quality provided by the 40mm drivers and the comfort of the over-ear design make it the superior choice for listening to music, watching films, or taking calls while working. If you need the best volume limiting head phones for macbook users who spend most of their time indoors, the Sorandy is the clear winner. But if you need the best sleep headphones for macbook users who also swim, the Aiandcc is the only viable option.
Yes, the Aiandcc model supports Bluetooth 5.4, which allows it to pair with MacBooks for use on land. However, you must remember that Bluetooth does not work underwater, so you will need to switch to the built-in MP3 mode when you enter the pool.
Absolutely. The Sorandy model includes a 3.5mm line control interface, allowing you to connect via a wired connection to older computers, tablets, or MP3 players that lack wireless capabilities.
