The Business & Operations Team supports RU Autonomous by managing operational, financial, and logistical support. This team coordinates travel, budgets, sponsorships, and events, allowing the engineering subteams to focus on design and flight while maintaining effective communication across the organization.
The team plans competition travel, accommodations, and scheduling, while maintaining budgets and financial records. They coordinate with sponsors, track milestones, and manage operational workflows to ensure events, builds, and testing are executed efficiently.
Members also oversee K–12 and community college outreach programs, giving students hands-on exposure to drone technology and building the next generation of engineers.
Business & Operations drives the team’s external presence, handling social media, content creation, and documentation of projects, events, and competitions. They organize and promote workshops, demos, and internal meetings, ensuring visibility across both the local community and potential sponsors.
By combining strategic planning, communication, and cross-team coordination, they help strengthen brand visibility while supporting day-to-day operations.
