Vehicle Maintenance Predictor (“the App”) is a vehicle maintenance assistant that helps users track vehicle condition, predict maintenance needs, and receive repair guidance.

We respect your privacy. This app is designed with a privacy-first approach, and your data is stored only on your device.

2. Data We Collect

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.

All information you enter is stored locally on your device, including:

• Vehicle details (brand, model, year, engine type, mileage)

• Maintenance records (service history, oil changes, repairs)

• Fuel tracking data (optional entries)

• AI interaction inputs (vehicle symptoms or questions)

3. How Your Data Is Stored

• All data is stored locally on your device only

• Data is saved using local storage (e.g., Room database or local files)

• No cloud sync or remote database is used by default

• No third-party analytics or tracking systems are implemented

4. AI Processing (OpenRouter API)

The app uses AI features powered by third-party APIs (such as OpenRouter) to provide vehicle diagnostics and advice.

When you use AI features:

• Only the text you submit (e.g., vehicle symptoms, questions) is sent to the AI service

• No personal identifiers (name, phone, location) are required or sent

• AI responses are generated externally and returned to the app

• No AI conversation history is stored on external servers

Please refer to the privacy policies of third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenRouter) for their data handling practices.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties.

The only external communication occurs when:

• You use AI features (text sent to AI API provider)

• The app communicates with the AI service to generate responses

6. Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally:

• Your data remains on your device until you delete it

• We do not retain any data on external servers

• Uninstalling the app will remove all stored data from your device

• Clearing app storage/cache will also permanently delete all data

7. Data Deletion

You have full control over your data.

You can delete your data in the following ways:

Option 1: In-App Deletion

• Use the “Delete Vehicle” or “Reset Data” option inside the app (if implemented)

Option 2: Clear App Data

• Go to your device settings:

  • Settings → Apps → Vehicle Maintenance Predictor → Storage → Clear Data

Option 3: Uninstall App

• Removing the app will permanently delete all locally stored data

8. Data Security

We use standard Android security practices to protect your local data:

• Data is stored in private app storage

• No external access to local database

• No background data uploads

• Secure API communication (HTTPS) for AI requests

9. Third-Party Services

The app may use the following third-party services:

• OpenRouter API (for AI responses)

These services may process only the text you submit during AI usage. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

10. Children’s Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
