Assured Skills

In 2012, the Department for Economy ran the first Data Analytics Assured Skills Academy for Deloitte.  This innovative pre-employment training programme is tailored to industry need and is developed in a partnership model.  Deloitte, PWC and others have made extensive use of these programmes to train more than 500 staff, in leading edge Data Analytics.

The Assured Skills programme makes an important contribution to the supply of skills in Northern Ireland and complements the work of both local universities, in developing skills for the knowledge economy.

Over 1,500 full-time jobs have subsequently been secured in a wide range of sectors such as Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Software Testing, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and Financial Services.
