AI Quota Watcher is a browser extension that helps users monitor usage, limits, reset times, and estimated token usage for supported AI services, including Google Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude.
This Privacy Policy explains what information AI Quota Watcher processes and how that information is used.
Depending on the enabled features and the AI service currently being used, AI Quota Watcher may process the following information locally in the browser:
account or profile information displayed by supported AI services, such as an account name or username, where required to distinguish between multiple detected accounts;

AI model information associated with supported requests;

AI Quota Watcher does not intentionally collect health information, financial information, payment information, precise location information, or information used for creditworthiness or lending purposes.
The information described above is processed solely to provide the core functionality of AI Quota Watcher, including:
monitoring AI service usage;
displaying quotas, limits, percentages, and reset times;
detecting the currently active AI provider;
detecting supported ChatGPT models and usage windows;
maintaining local ChatGPT usage estimates;
distinguishing supported user accounts;
estimating token usage for the currently visible conversation;
displaying usage information in the extension popup, Chrome side panel, or optional floating overlay.
User data is not processed for advertising, profiling, credit scoring, or unrelated purposes.
Google requires Chrome extensions to limit collection and use of user data to what is necessary for their disclosed single purpose.
AI Quota Watcher is designed to operate locally within the user's Chrome browser profile.
Usage counters, detected account information, preferences, and extension settings may be stored using Chrome's local extension storage.
The developer does not operate an AI Quota Watcher server that receives or stores:
conversation content;
locally generated quota counters;
browsing history;
passwords;
authentication cookies;
session tokens;
login credentials.
Google considers locally processed or stored information to be user data as well, which is why this processing is disclosed in this policy.
AI Quota Watcher requires access to supported Google Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude websites in order to provide its functionality.
The extension may inspect relevant page content and network request metadata to:
identify the active AI provider;
detect model and account information;
obtain or calculate usage information;
update local quota counters;
estimate tokens from visible conversation content;
display the optional floating overlay.
This access is limited to supported AI services and is not used to monitor unrelated websites.
When optional token estimation is enabled, AI Quota Watcher may read visible conversation text on supported Gemini, ChatGPT, or Claude pages.
This information is processed locally for the purpose of estimating token usage.
Conversation content is not transmitted to the developer or to an AI Quota Watcher server.
The resulting token count is an estimate only and is not an official billing or token count from Google, OpenAI, or Anthropic.
AI Quota Watcher does not intentionally collect, export, transmit, or store users' passwords, authentication cookies, session tokens, API keys, or login credentials for use by the developer.
The extension relies on the user's existing authenticated browser sessions when interacting with supported AI services.
AI Quota Watcher does not sell user data.
AI Quota Watcher does not transfer user data to:
advertisers;
data brokers;
analytics providers;
unrelated third parties.
User data is not used or transferred for purposes unrelated to the extension's stated functionality.
User data is not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
AI Quota Watcher operates on websites and services provided by third parties, including:
Google Gemini;
OpenAI ChatGPT;
Anthropic Claude.
Use of those services is governed by the respective privacy policies and terms of Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic.
AI Quota Watcher is not responsible for data processing performed independently by those services.
AI Quota Watcher may allow users to export local extension settings and usage data to a JSON backup file.
Backup files are created only when explicitly requested by the user.
The exported file is stored at a location selected or managed by the user's browser and operating system.
AI Quota Watcher does not automatically upload backup files to the developer or to an external server.
Locally generated data remains stored in the user's browser profile until it is:
cleared or reset through extension functionality;
overwritten by newer data;
removed through Chrome's extension storage management; or
removed when the extension is uninstalled, subject to Chrome's storage behavior.
The developer does not maintain a remote copy of this locally stored information.
AI Quota Watcher is designed to minimize data processing and keep extension-generated data local whenever possible.
The extension does not use remote executable code and does not intentionally transmit user data to developer-operated servers.
Where communication with supported third-party AI services occurs through the browser, those services use their own HTTPS connections.
Chrome Web Store policy requires user data handled by extensions to be processed securely and any transmissions of user data to use modern cryptography.
AI Quota Watcher is a general-purpose browser utility and is not specifically directed at children.
