I have used artificial intelligence (AI) in the following ways during my UCF career: 

• Fall 2023: 

  • ENC1101 (English Composition I): We were asked to use Copilot to:

    • Brainstorm essay topics

    • Generate a thesis and critique it

    • Create an initial outline

• Spring 2024:

  • ENC1102 (English Composition II). We were allowed, but not required, to use an LLM to assist with writing processes. I used ChatGPT 3.5 to:

    • Generate thesis ideas

    • Generate outlines (a few different versions)

    • Write the first paragraph, which was subsequently heavily edited

• Summer 2024:

  • CHM2045 (General Chemistry). I used Copilot to shorten my draft lab reports to the required word limit.

  • SYG2000 (Sociology). I used Copilot (DALL-E 3) to create multiple images for PowerPoint presentations.
