AI Pocket Photo Studio ("the app") is built to work fully offline for its core photo-editing features. Your photos are processed entirely on your device using on-device AI models — nothing about the photo itself (the image data, its content, or the edits you make) is uploaded to any server. There is no account, sign-in, or user registration required to use the app.
This policy explains what data the app and its third-party services (specifically, Google AdMob) handle.
Photos you select, capture, or edit stay on your device the entire time. Background removal, face detection, signature extraction, and text recognition all run locally using on-device ML models (Google ML Kit for English, Hindi, and Marathi, and Tesseract OCR for Arabic, Urdu, and Farsi). None of these send your photo or its contents anywhere.
Note: The ML Kit Document Scanner feature relies on Google Play Services to dynamically download its internal module upon first use, which requires network access for that initial setup.
Exported files are saved to your device's Downloads folder and/or an in-app History list stored locally on your device. Deleting a file from History or clearing it removes it from your device; nothing is retained on any server, because nothing was ever sent to one.
Camera (android.permission.CAMERA) — used only when you choose to take a photo or scan a document within the app. The camera feed is never recorded or transmitted anywhere unless you explicitly capture a photo.
Storage / Photos access (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE up to Android 9) — used to let you pick existing photos and save the final files this app creates. On Android 10 (API 29) and newer, saving goes through system Scoped Storage (MediaStore) — the app cannot browse or access your other personal files.
Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) — required on Android 13+ to allow AdMob to serve compliant ads and support consent choices.
This app shows ads served by Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded-video ads) to support free access to the app.
AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and use device identifiers (such as your advertising ID), approximate location, and app-usage data to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
Where required by law (for example, for users in the EEA/UK), a consent form is shown before any personalized advertising is requested, using Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). You can:
Change your ad consent choices at any time through that consent flow, re-triggerable from the app's Settings screen.
Reset or limit your device's advertising ID at any time from your device's system settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
This app does not itself receive, see, or store any personal data collected by AdMob — that data is collected and processed directly by Google and its advertising partners under their own privacy policies.
This app does not include a separate third-party analytics SDK. Google Play Services and AdMob may independently collect basic technical/usage data as described in Google's own Play Services documentation.
Other than the advertising data described above (collected directly by Google/AdMob), no data processed by this app is sold, rented, or shared with third parties. There are no other third-party servers this app sends your photos or files to — the app has no backend server.
This app is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of consent in your region), and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, contact us using the details below and it will be removed.
Delete any file this app created at any time — from the app's History screen, or directly from your device's Downloads folder/file manager.
Uninstalling the app removes all of its locally-stored data, including History entries and any cached files.
Since no photo or file ever leaves your device for editing purposes, there is no server-side copy to separately request deletion of.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change, and material changes will be reflected in an updated app release and, where required, an updated consent prompt.
