received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Radio Engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea, in 1997 and 1999, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Yonsei University, South Korea, in 2008. From 1999 to 2002, he was with the Optoelectronics Laboratory, Samsung Electronics, where he was involved in research and development on optical devices. He is currently an Assistant Professor with Myongji University, South Korea. His current research interests include passive optical networks, visible light communication, optical devices, and optical systems for communications using AI(artificial intelligence).
