PRIVACY POLICY FOR AI IMAGE UPSCALER
====================================
Last updated: 13 September 2026
Developer / publisher: BinaryKeys
App: AI Image Upscaler
Android package: app.binarykeys.imageupscalerai
Platform: Google Play (Android)
This Privacy Policy explains how BinaryKeys ("we", "us") accesses, collects,
uses, stores, and shares information when you use the AI Image Upscaler
Android app (the "App"). It is written to meet Google Play's User Data
policy, Google Play Data safety disclosure expectations, and Google AdMob /
Google advertising requirements.
By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please
uninstall the App.

1. WHO WE ARE
-------------
BinaryKeys publishes AI Image Upscaler on Google Play. We do not require you
to create an account. We do not operate our own analytics, crash-reporting,
or cloud photo-processing servers for this App.
Contact: use the email address shown on the Google Play listing for
AI Image Upscaler (publisher: BinaryKeys), or the Play Console contact form
for the listing.
2. SUMMARY OF DATA PRACTICES
----------------------------
A) Photos you select, enhanced copies, local history (file name, size,
dimensions, thumbnail)
- Collected by BinaryKeys? Processed and stored only on your device
- Shared? Not uploaded to BinaryKeys. Shared only if you use Save/Share
- Purpose: on-device image enhancement, gallery save, history
B) App settings (theme, GPU preference)
- Collected by BinaryKeys? Stored on device
- Shared? No
- Purpose: app functionality
C) Advertising ID, App Set ID, IP address, approximate location (from IP),
device/app info, ad interactions, diagnostics, consent choices
- Collected by BinaryKeys? Not collected by BinaryKeys servers.
Collected automatically by Google Mobile Ads SDK / UMP when ads or
consent run
- Shared? Yes — with Google and advertising partners
- Purpose: advertising, ad measurement, analytics, fraud prevention,
showing a consent form where required
We do NOT sell personal or sensitive user data.
We do NOT use your photos for advertising.
3. INFORMATION PROCESSED ON YOUR DEVICE (BINARYKEYS)
----------------------------------------------------
3.1 Photos and enhancement
When you choose a photo, the App reads that file on your device using the
Android Storage Access Framework (you pick the file; the App does not
request broad storage or media-library access). An on-device AI model
creates a higher-resolution copy. Photos are NOT uploaded to BinaryKeys for
AI processing. Enhancement works without an account and without an internet
connection for the AI step (internet is used for ads and consent as
described below).
If you tap Save, the result can be written to Pictures/AI Upscaler in your
gallery. If you tap Share, Android's share sheet sends the file to the app
you choose. That transfer is initiated by you.
3.2 Local history
The App may store on this device: original file name, file size, dimensions,
processing time, and a small thumbnail. You can delete history items in the
App. Uninstalling the App removes this local data from the App's storage.
3.3 Settings
Theme and "use GPU if available" are stored in on-device app preferences so
the App can remember your choice.
4. ADVERTISING AND THIRD-PARTY SDKS (GOOGLE ADMOB AND UMP)
----------------------------------------------------------
The App contains ads so it can remain free. Ads are provided by Google
AdMob using the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Ads are not shown on first launch of
the editor, while you are editing an image, or during AI processing.
Banners may appear on screens such as Home, History, and the result screen.
An interstitial ad may appear when you choose to process another image,
after a job completes, subject to frequency limits and consent.
You must declare "Contains ads" in Play Console for this App. That label is
required by Google Play.
4.1 Data Google collects automatically
According to Google's Play data disclosure for the Google Mobile Ads SDK
(https://developers.google.com/admob/android/privacy/play-data-disclosure),
the SDK automatically collects and shares the following for advertising,
analytics, and fraud prevention:
- IP address — may be used to estimate the general location of a device
- User product interactions — such as app launches, taps, and ad/video views
- Diagnostic information — related to app and SDK performance (for example
launch time, hang rate, energy usage)
- Device and account identifiers — including the Android Advertising ID,
App Set ID, and, if applicable, other identifiers related to accounts
signed in on the device
Google states that this traffic is encrypted in transit using TLS.
BinaryKeys does not receive a copy of this advertising data on our own
servers.
The App Set ID may be collected by the ads SDK for non-ads uses such as
analytics and fraud prevention, as described by Google. We do not use App
Set ID ourselves for ads personalization.
4.2 Consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland (CMP / TCF)
Under Google's EU User Consent Policy
(https://www.google.com/about/company/user-consent-policy/),
serving ads to users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United
Kingdom, and Switzerland requires certain disclosures and, where required,
consent for cookies/local storage and for using personal data (including
the Advertising ID) for ads personalization.
This App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), a Google-certified
Consent Management Platform (CMP) that supports the IAB Transparency and
Consent Framework (TCF). When Google requires it, UMP may show a consent
form before personalized ads are requested. You can review or change those
choices later in the App: Settings -> Manage ad privacy (shown when Google
requires a privacy-options entry point).
If you do not consent to personalized ads, Google may still serve
non-personalized or Limited ads, depending on Google's policies and your
choices. Fill rate may be lower.
Ad technology providers selected in your AdMob Privacy & messaging setup
(including Google) may process data for ads personalization and measurement
as described in the CMP form and in each provider's disclosures.
4.3 Your advertising controls
- Reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization,
in Android settings (typically Google -> Ads, or Settings -> Privacy ->
Ads, depending on the device).
- Use Settings -> Manage ad privacy in the App when that option is shown.
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services:
https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google advertising opt-out tools: https://adssettings.google.com
5. PERMISSIONS AND WHY THEY ARE USED
------------------------------------
INTERNET
Load ads, show the UMP consent form, and open Play Store links you tap
(Share app, Rate app, More apps).
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Used by the ads SDK to check connectivity before requesting ads.
Photo access via Storage Access Framework
(no broad READ_MEDIA / storage permission)
You pick a single image to enhance. The App does not scan your full
gallery unless you grant access through the system picker for that file.
The ads SDK may merge additional standard permissions (for example
advertising-related permissions). We do not request location, contacts,
microphone, camera, SMS, or phone permissions.
6. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
---------------------------
- Google (AdMob, UMP, Play services Ads) — to show ads, measure ads,
prevent fraud, and collect consent where required.
- Advertising partners of Google — as disclosed in the CMP / Google's ad
technology provider list, depending on your region and consent.
- Apps you choose in Share — only when you tap Share.
- Legal / safety — we may disclose information if required by law or to
protect users, if we ever hold it. We do not host user photo databases.
We do not sell personal and sensitive user data as defined by Google Play's
User Data policy.
7. SECURITY
-----------
Photos used for enhancement stay on the device during processing.
Advertising and consent traffic handled by Google is transmitted using
modern cryptography (TLS / HTTPS), as described by Google for the Mobile
Ads SDK. Keep your device locked and updated. No method of electronic
storage or transmission is 100% secure.
If Android Backup is enabled on your device, Android may back up some app
data associated with your Google account (for example preferences). You can
control backup in Android system settings. Uninstalling the App removes the
App's local files from the device.
8. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
------------------------------
- Photos / history / settings on device: kept until you delete them in the
App or uninstall the App.
- No BinaryKeys account: there is no cloud account to delete. Google Play's
account-deletion requirement for apps that offer account creation does
not apply because this App does not offer accounts.
- Google ads and consent data: retained by Google under Google's policies.
Use Android ads settings and, where shown, Settings -> Manage ad privacy.
To request deletion of any information we might hold (for example a support
email you sent us), contact us via the Play listing. We will delete or
anonymize it unless we must keep it for legal reasons.
9. CHILDREN
-----------
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age of
digital consent in your country). It is not designed for use by children,
and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App
is not enrolled in the Google Play Designed for Families / Families Policy
program as a children's app. Do not use the App if you are under 13. If you
believe a child has provided us information, contact us via the Play listing
and we will delete it.
Because the App shows ads via AdMob, it must not be used as a children's
app under COPPA / Play Families ads rules unless it is configured as a
children's app. This App is intended for a general audience of adults.
10. INTERNATIONAL USERS AND LEGAL BASES (EEA / UK / SWITZERLAND)
----------------------------------------------------------------
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, Google and its partners may
process advertising data on the legal bases presented in the UMP consent
form (typically consent for personalized ads and related storage, and other
bases Google discloses for limited/non-personalized ads or security). We
rely on Google's CMP to present those choices.
You may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction,
objection, and portability under GDPR/UK GDPR for personal data we control.
For advertising data processed by Google, use Google's tools and the CMP.
For data we control (support emails, if any), contact us via the Play
listing.
Google may process data on servers outside your country. See Google's
privacy policy for details of international transfers.
11. CALIFORNIA AND SIMILAR US STATE LAWS
----------------------------------------
We do not sell your personal information for money. Advertising SDKs may
share identifiers with ad partners for advertising, which some state laws
treat as a "sale" or "share" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You
can opt out of ads personalization using Android Advertising ID controls
and Google's ads settings. We do not have a separate "Do Not Sell" web form
because we do not operate a BinaryKeys ads profile for this App.
12. CHANGES
-----------
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change,
and the in-app Privacy Policy screen will be updated in a later App version.
Material changes will be reflected here before or when they take effect.
13. CONTACT
-----------

This policy describes our practices for this App. It is not legal advice.
Google Play, AdMob, and privacy laws can change; we update this document
