INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM
Artificial Intelligence
at the Service of Health and Social Prosperity
Rationale for the International Symposium
Artificial intelligence was born in the 1950s, with the objective of implementing all available technologies to design machines capable of helping humans in their tasks.
This area of research is in the process of full expansion and promises a great future, and mobilizes many disciplines, from computer science to cognitive sciences, via mathematics, without forgetting the specialized knowledge of the fields to which we wish to apply it. In fact, this approach generates all the specialized and efficient systems: creating profiles of possible friends on social networks, identifying dates in the texts to classify dispatches from the agency, helping the doctor to make decisions...
Equally important, artificial intelligence also has an immense potential to serve social good. If the ascendable possibilities of artificial intelligence can be properly harnessed, it can rapidly accelerate the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Around the world, it can radically improve the lives of disadvantaged populations by enabling key stakeholders to reflect on the best ways to support innovation while respecting the ethical precepts and standards emerging in this field at scale. world.
Artificial intelligence embraces virtually all areas of daily life, especially the health sector. Its applications, which concern all human activities, make it possible to improve the quality of health care. Indeed, artificial intelligence is at the heart of the medicine of the future with assisted operations, remote patient monitoring, intelligent prostheses, or even personalized treatments thanks to the cross-checking of data (big data) ... In this context, researchers are developing multiple approaches and techniques starting from language processing and ontology construction to data mining and machine learning.
Hence, promoting innovation and digital technology opens the paths of health professionals, and adapt their training to the practices of the future. More than ever, the "speed of evolution" and the "democratization of uses" linked to AI in health are forcing private actors and public authorities to carry out a rapid overhaul of the medical sector.
The aim of this symposium is to popularize artificial intelligence to the general public. It will bring together teacher-researchers, doctors, engineers, technicians, and PhD students, who came from the fields of pure sciences and human and social sciences, around the same objective, namely understanding the functioning of systems using artificial intelligence. The conference will also focus on the challenges and perspectives of artificial intelligence, as an emerging discipline in the world of knowledge and knowledge. Hence, we encourage contributions which address primarily, though not exclusively, the following topics:
Thematic areas of the conference:
Assisted society: promoting culture, creativity, and entrepreneurship, increasing work capacities and self-learning.
AI: Ethics, values, and beliefs.
The social impact of AI
The achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals Through acceleration of AI.
The role of public and private actors, universities, and civil society in the promotion of AI: Funding of scientific research projects, legal framework, calls for projects.
AI at the service of the new development model.
AI at the service of innovation in the field of health: precision medicine, robotic surgery, medical imaging and telemedicine, expert systems for early diagnosis, e-health, deep learning, and big data analytics.
Challenges of the deployment of artificial intelligence in health: what future for AI and health professionals.
Artificial intelligence and the Block Chain at the service of the pharmaceutical industry.
Artificial intelligence at the service of mental health
Digitization of the health system in Morocco
AI and crisis resource management as the next big innovation in the health sector.
AI for the benefit of interprofessional simulation.
