The AI Enabled Smart Agro Intrusion Detection, Monitoring and Alerting System is a smart agriculture security project developed to protect crops and farmland from animal and unauthorized human intrusion. The system uses camera-based monitoring, and alert technologies to provide automatic surveillance of agricultural fields.
In this project, a Raspberry Pi is used as the main processing unit. A camera module is connected to continuously monitor the farm area. Motion software is used to detect movement in the field. Whenever motion is detected, the system captures images and processes the data for intrusion monitoring.
The system uses AWS cloud services for remote connectivity and communication. Mosquitto Broker is configured on AWS to send real-time notifications and alerts to the mobile application. Postfix Mail Server is used to send email alerts and notifications to the farmer. A mobile application developed using MIT App Inventor allows the farmer to receive alerts and monitor the system through a smartphone.
A speaker module is also connected to the system to generate warning sounds when intrusion is detected. This helps in scaring away animals and reducing crop damage.
The project aims to provide a smart, automatic, and efficient farm monitoring system that reduces manual effort and improves agricultural security. The system supports real-time monitoring, alert generation, and remote access, making it useful for modern smart farming applications.
