AICO is governed by a constitution and is managed by three executive roles: Chair, Secretary/Outreach and College Liaison. These are volunteer positions.
Cory Scurr, Ph.D, Associate Director, Academic Integrity
Conestoga College
Dr. Cory Scurr is the Associate Director, Academic Integrity at Conestoga College. In his work, he leads a team of staff who support faculty, students, and administrators through consultations, workshops, and resource development, among other things. Cory also develops and delivers a Micro-Credential on Academic Integrity called Academic Integrity in Post-Secondary Teaching.
His research interests include faculty barriers and the role of emotion when navigating academic misconduct as well as examining the nexus of artificial intelligence and academic integrity to inform assessment design.
Rachel Gorjup, MSc, Academic Appeals and Integrity Coordinator
University of Toronto Mississauga
Rachel Gorjup is the Academic Appeals and Integrity Coordinator at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM). In her role, Rachel focuses on resolving academic integrity cases, managing academic appeals, and leading the development and implementation of educational initiatives that promote academic integrity across the UTM community. Rachel is actively involved in the academic integrity community, serving on the executive boards of the Academic Integrity Council of Ontario (AICO) and ICAI Canada. She also co-chairs the International Day of Action for Academic Integrity (IDoA).
Iryna Pavlova, BA, MA, MEd, OCELT, Academic Integrity Facilitator
Sheridan College
Iryna Pavlova is a Second Language Education professional with over 20 years of teaching experience in the field of ESL. Presently, Iryna works as the Academic Integrity Facilitator at Sheridan College where she provides expertise in the successful promotion and implementation of academic integrity policy, procedures, best practices, and educational supports through the Academic Integrity Office.
