• What is the AI BootCamp? 

The Artificial Intelligence Camp, hosted by the Google Developer Student Club at the University of Khartoum and the Arab Open University, offers a deep dive into AI essentials. Through focused sessions on mathematics, Python programming, and real-world AI applications. 

• How much does the course cost 🧑‍💻?

This course and the certificate are both completely free. We want to make quality education accessible to everyone, so don’t miss out on this opportunity!

• Is the course online? Do I need a computer or laptop🖥️?

The course is online, and you’ll need a computer or laptop for the assignments. You’ll have to download materials that are about 1GB in total, so make sure that you have enough space.

• How long is this course? How many sessions will there be🕜?

This course covers duration of 3 weeks . We will be conducting four sessions per week.

• I registered in the course but never recived an email🕜?

• you just applied so you need to wait our program team to filter the candidates

• When do the camp start?

The camp starts on Sunday, May 26th, 2024. 

• What will I learn from this course 🤓?

In this course, you'll grasp AI fundamentals, enhance your math skills, learn Python programming, and gain practical experience to tackle real-world ML challenges.

• Is it okay if I’m a total beginner? Does the course require any prior knowledge🧐?

Before taking the course, it’s essential for you to have some basic understanding for mathematics (linear algebra - statistics and probability and calculus) and programming experience, especially Python Programming. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be extraordinarily good at it. If you’re not familiar with Programming, we will send you an email with resources to help you out after you register for the course, or you can access the course via the link.

• Do we offer certificates 👀?

Yes! Once you successfully complete the course and finished the tasks, you will receive a certificate of completion, which can be a valuable addition to your resume.

• What should I do if I miss a session😵‍💫?

Don’t worry, you can reach out to the instructors or your peers and review the recorded sessions. Make sure to catch up on any missed work before the course ends in order to receive a certificate.

• When will I lose the opportunity to obtain the certificate📜?

You won’t be eligible to receive the certificate if you don’t complete the assigned work before the deadlines. Hopefully, this doesn’t happen.

Make sure to keep up with the deadlines and submit any assignments or quizzes on time. Feel free to reach out to the course instructors or the GDSC website if you’re not sure about the deadlines.

• I need help/I'm outside Sudan, and the timezone is slightly different what can I do if I don't want to miss the attendace form🥲?

Fear not—we have you covered! 48 hours following the session, the attendance form and quiz will be available! hence this time, you must load it with is! 

• I need help/I'm struggling with the course/I'm facing a technical problem. What should I do 🥲?

The course instructors and the GDSC team will be more than happy to help you out, reach out to them by using the chat and support chat.
