If you want a soft, breathable bamboo cotton mask that blocks out light completely and offers the comfort of removable ear cups for side sleeping, choose AHUIARGY Sleep Mask; if you need a discreet, invisible audio solution with massive battery life and active noise cancellation for total immersion, choose Rulbovs NE96.
• AHUIARGY Sleep Mask: The standout strength is its dual-experience design with interchangeable bamboo cotton and air fabric cups that feel gentle against sensitive skin, but it relies on a single unit rather than true isolation from external sound. This pick is for travelers who prioritize eye comfort and total darkness over deep audio isolation.
• Rulbovs NE96: The biggest advantage is the advanced Bluetooth 6.0 connection paired with an 80-hour total battery life and active noise cancellation that creates a silent pocket around your ears, though it requires inserting buds directly into the ear canal. This pick is for those who need to block snoring partners or cabin noise while keeping a minimal profile.
The AHUIARGY Sleep Mask is engineered for people who find traditional sleep headphones too rigid or hot. Its most distinct feature is the ability to swap between two types of cups: one made from bamboo cotton and another from a soft air fabric. This flexibility means you can tailor the experience based on your skin sensitivity or the temperature of your room. If you tend to run warm during the night, the air fabric cup provides breathability, while the bamboo cotton option offers a warmer, non-pilling texture that feels incredibly soft. This is a game-changer for anyone who has ever felt irritated by the fixed material of standard sleep headbands.
For side sleepers, the ergonomic 3D contoured design is a necessity rather than a luxury. The mask features a deeper eye socket depth of 0.59 inches, which creates a zero-pressure zone for your eyes. Unlike flat masks that press directly against your eyelids and force you to close them tightly or wake up with red marks, this design allows your eyes to move freely without any contact. The adjustable strap ensures a secure fit without catching hair, making it suitable for various head sizes and hairstyles. When combined with the 100% light-blocking capability that fits snugly around the nose, it creates a cave-like environment even in bright hotel rooms or during daytime naps.
This product is ideal for travelers who spend long hours in transit and need a reliable way to nap on planes or trains. The Bluetooth 5.4 technology provides a stable connection with a range of up to 15 meters, ensuring your music or audiobooks don't cut out as you move around the cabin. With a battery life of up to 15 hours, you can use it for a full night's sleep plus several more days of travel without needing to recharge. However, if your primary goal is to completely silence a noisy roommate or the hum of an airplane engine through acoustic isolation, this mask might not be aggressive enough on its own since it relies on the physical seal of the mask rather than electronic noise cancellation.

The Rulbovs NE96 targets a different demographic entirely: those who value discretion and maximum audio isolation above all else. These are true "in-ear" solutions designed to be nearly invisible under a pillow or a hat. The ultra-mini ergonomic shape sits flush inside the ear canal, eliminating the bulkiness associated with over-the-head bands. For strict side sleepers who have tried other earbuds only to wake up with sore ears, the NE96's lightweight design reduces pressure significantly, allowing you to rest your cheek on the pillow without feeling like something is digging into your face. The inclusion of three different ear cap sizes ensures a custom fit that seals out the world.
Where the NE96 truly shines is in its connectivity and power management. It utilizes the latest Bluetooth 6.0 technology, which promises faster pairing and lower latency compared to older standards. This makes it excellent for syncing with tablets or phones for movies or podcasts without annoying delays. But the real showstopper is the battery performance. While many sleep earbuds require nightly charging, the NE96 comes with a charging case that delivers up to 80 hours of total listening time. You could go weeks without plugging in the case, which is a massive convenience for business trips or extended vacations where carrying multiple chargers is a hassle.
These earbuds also feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and a secure in-ear seal designed to block everyday noise. This makes them particularly effective for travelers dealing with snoring partners, loud office environments, or the constant drone of jet engines. They function as both sleep aids and general wireless headsets for calls and music throughout the day. The touch controls allow for easy adjustments without fumbling for buttons in the dark. However, because they are inserted directly into the ear, they may not appeal to users who prefer the sensation of wearing a soft cloth mask over their eyes or those who find anything inside the ear canal uncomfortable after a few hours.

• Best for battery longevity → Rulbovs NE96, offering a staggering 80 hours of total playtime with its charging case.
• Best for side sleeper comfort → Both excel, but AHUIARGY uses a 3D zero-pressure cup design, while Rulbovs uses an ultra-mini in-ear shape.
• Best for noise isolation → Rulbovs NE96, utilizing Active Noise Cancellation and a secure in-ear seal to drown out external sounds.
• Best for skin sensitivity → AHUIARGY Sleep Mask, with its choice of bamboo cotton or breathable air fabric cups.
• Best for modern connectivity → Rulbovs NE96, featuring Bluetooth 6.0 for enhanced stability and speed.
• Best for versatile materials → AHUIARGY Sleep Mask, allowing you to switch cups based on your preference for warmth or coolness.
• Best for in-flight convenience → Rulbovs NE96 for its compact size and ANC, or AHUIARGY if you prefer a mask to cover your eyes while flying.
After weighing the specifications and use cases, I would personally buy the AHUIARGY Sleep Mask for my next long-haul flight. While the Rulbovs NE96 boasts impressive specs like Bluetooth 6.0 and 80-hour battery life, there is something undeniably comforting about the tactile experience of a soft, bamboo cotton mask that wraps around your eyes. On a plane, the ability to block out the overhead lights completely is often just as important as hearing your music, and the 3D contouring ensures I won't wake up with eye strain. The option to swap materials gives me control over my comfort level, which is crucial when trying to drift off in a cramped economy seat. That said, if my priority were purely silencing a crying baby or a snoring neighbor, I would switch to the Rulbovs NE96 immediately.
Yes, both products are specifically designed for side sleepers. The AHUIARGY mask features a 3D contoured cup that prevents pressure on the eyes, while the Rulbovs NE96 uses an ultra-mini ergonomic shape to stay hidden in the ear canal without causing discomfort when lying on your side.
The Rulbovs NE96 wins significantly here with a total of 80 hours of listening time provided by its charging case, whereas the AHUIARGY Sleep Mask offers up to 15 hours on a single charge. If you plan to use the device for several days without access to a charger, the Rulbovs is the superior choice.
If you need to actively cancel out engine noise or snoring, the Rulbovs NE96 is better equipped due to its Active Noise Cancellation and in-ear seal. The AHUIARGY mask blocks light effectively but relies on the physical barrier of the fabric rather than electronic noise reduction, so it may let some ambient sound through.
