Colt Cheer Tryout process:
1 - mandatory tryout interest meeting (usually at the end of January)
2 - tryout application (view eligibility rubric below)
3 - tryout clinic (usually beginning of March)
4 - tryouts (end of tryout clinic week)

In order to tryout, students must be a current AHS student, currently attending a feeder school/program, live within the AHS attendance zone, or have an APPROVED transfer prior to the tryout clinic.Â
Per AISD Policy, team placement is based solely on tryout scores.
Incoming freshmen are only eligible to make the Freshman team.
Incoming sophomores & juniors are eligible to make either JV or Varsity.
Incoming seniors are only eligible to make Varsity.
