The Bridge Project is a tutoring program for Multilingual Learners in Arlington High School, Massachusetts.
The program was founded by Karen Yoda and is currently run with student leaders and a faculty advisor.
Elementary and middle school students with limited English proficiency are paired with high school student tutors who speak the same home language. Tutors meet with the students weekly, providing support for schoolwork and homework, as well as translation assistance for their families. If the student’s home language is unavailable, they are paired with English-speaking tutors.
