My wife, Angel has been a long-time teacher and coach at Cope Middle School, and will be moving to Airline for the upcoming school year where she will teach in the math department and coach cross country. We have four children. Hunter, who recently completed his master’s degree from Louisiana Tech. Colton who will be a sophomore at Tech, and is studying forestry. Peyton who is completing his freshman year at Airline, and is a member of the Viking baseball team. And Emma, who will be an 8th grader at Cope this next year. Our other two “children” are our twin beagles, Sadie and Stella.
I am completing my first year as a Viking, and teach in the business department while coaching soccer and football. Prior to Airline I spent three and a half years coaching football at Ouachita Baptist University (2000-03). I then coached at Northwood High School (2003-2007) where I served as offensive coordinator, head football coach, and also coached track. It was at Northwood that I had the opportunity to meet and coach with Coach James. After Northwood, I moved to Cope Middle School (2007-2014) where I coached football, softball, basketball, and track. I left teaching and coaching for 7 years, and worked in the restaurant industry as an area supervisor for Reiser Group Sonic.
I truly enjoyed my first year of coaching soccer at Airline, and I am extremely glad to be back teaching and coaching full time. I look forward to seeing the progress we make in the years to come with our Viking soccer program.
