On Wednesday, March 19 of 2025, we welcomed guest speakers Dr. Jeffery Lewis and Dr. Rebecca Heinrichs for a discussion on weapons of mass destruction and national security.
The event covered a variety of topics including, but not limited to, bioweapons and their uses in terrorism, the Budapest Memorandum and the nuclear disarmament of Ukraine, and North Korean missile testing and the potential of nuclear weapons in South Korea.

Dr. Jeffrey Lewis is a Senior Lecturer in the Ohio State University's Department of International Studies. He has a focus in terrorism, and authored a book titled The Business of Martyrdom: A History of Suicide Bombing.Â
He has also received grants from the Fulbright Foundation and the German American Academic Exchange Service.
Dr. Rebecca Heinrichs is the director of the Hudson Institute's Keystone Defense Initiative and specializes in US national defense policy with a focus on strategic deterrence. She received her MA in national security and strategic studies from the US Naval War College, where she graduated with highest distinction from its College of Naval Command and Staff.
