If you would like help from your fellow students, download the Flipgrid app from the App Portal. Enter the flip code ahstech. Upload videos regarding questions or issues there.

Common ways to fix issues:

  • Update iPad to the latest iPadOS version, 13.1.2
  • Reset All Settings
    • Open Settings, and go to General.
    • At the bottom of the page, tap Reset. Tap Reset All Settings.
  • Hard Reset
    • Hold power button and Home button at the same time until it turns off.

Setting up your iPad:

Autocorrections:

  • Go to Settings, and tap on the tab General. Tap on Keyboards.
  • Under All Keyboards, disable all shortcuts and etc. except Enable Caps Lock.

Books:

  • If books or pdfs are not loading, log out of Apple ID in Settings and log back in.

Classroom:

  • If Classroom has disappeared from Settings, ask a teacher to place you back into Classroom.
  • If after a teacher uses Classroom, folders of apps on the home screen say Cleaning, restart your iPad.

Edpuzzle:

  • If the videos are not loading, switch to the FaSt network in Settings.

Mail:

  • Go to settings, then accounts & passwords
  • Find your email account, should be “exchange or ACS” account. Select it and then delete it
  • Go back to the mail app, choose Exchange and enter your email address. Leave the description as “exchange” and click next. Then click sign in and enter your password

OneDrive or Microsoft apps:

  • Go to OneDrive, tap on the person icon. Go to Settings.
  • Click on the Arlington Community Schools account and sign out of your account.
  • Close the app, and reopen it to login.

Schoology:

  • Issues uploading to/from Schoology after iOS 12 update:
    • Go to Settings, and tap on the tab General. Scroll to the bottom of the page until you see Reset.
    • Tap on Reset. Tap on Reset All Settings. This may cause some inconveniences but fixes the problem.
  • After logging into Schoology, it looks like you are using the browser:
    • Logout of Schoology and login again.

If you are resetting your iPad completely or getting a new/loaner iPad:

  • You must back up all documents and photos before coming to the library.
    • Go to Files, tap on the tab that says "On My iPad".
    • Export any documents by selecting them and clicking on the share button. Send them to either OneDrive or iCloud Drive.
    • For photos and videos, open the Photos app and select all photos and videos that you need and either e-mail them to yourself or send to OneDrive.
    • For the Notes app, if you are logged into your Apple ID, these should automatically save to iCloud. Otherwise, you will need to export them to OneDrive or e-mail them to yourself.
