Excused Absences:
As a reminder, nails, hair, and tanning are not excused absences. To attend prom, you will need to either be at school by 11:30 am on April 24th or have a doctor's note clearing you to attend the dance on the 25th. If you are not at school on April 24th, you will not be permitted to attend prom or after-prom without a doctor's note, and refunds will not be given.
Guests:
Archbold students may bring one date from another area school. These guests must be under 21 (Middle School Students are not allowed). Guests must complete a dance guest form, available on the AHS-Dance website, with parent and administrator signatures and a photo ID. All Guest applications need to be completed online with a photo ID by Wednesday, April 14th, at 3:30 pm. Guests who have not submitted a form may not enter. All guests must be accompanied by their Archbold High School hosts, who are responsible for them throughout the evening. (A Guest is defined as "a social or romantic appointment or engagement.")
Dance Rules & Etiquette:
Students are expected to behave in ways consistent with all Archbold High School handbook. Students who leave before the end of the dance will be checked out on the attendance sheet. Once students leave the dance, they may not re-enter. Students may not arrive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If a student is suspected to be in violation of these rules, the school reserves the right to breathalyze the student and/or call for parent pickup immediately. Archbold does not permit dancing that is explicitly sexual or deemed inappropriate by faculty chaperones.
After the Dance:
There will be chaperones on the lot to supervise students as they leave the dance to reduce speeding, loitering, and other mischief. Students are expected to leave immediately after the dance ends.
