WHAT IS CARE?
The Village of Arlington Heights and various community partners formed the Community Addiction and Recovery Effort (CARE) to assist individuals who are battling with substance use disorder/addiction. Every person suffering from addiction will require different treatment options with different abilities to pay for treatment. CARE will assist all voluntary participants while considering their individual needs.
CAN I JOIN?
CARE is a completely voluntary program that any individual with residency within the State of Illinois can participate in. Persons under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
If you are a non-resident of Arlington Heights you can connect with one of the CARE Coordinators for no cost and discuss your personal circumstance. The coordinator will recommend the most appropriate treatment option based on your situation and in some instances emergency treatment options may be available.
If you are a resident of Arlington Heights you will receive all of the services listed above and may also qualify for a subsidy towards treatment. This is based on insurance coverage, household income and household size. The subsidy is determined by the Village of Arlington Heights' Social Services Coordinator.
