Evaluation and Validation of the Developed Neural Interface Systems using Animal Models or Human Subjects
All animal experiments have been approved by Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).
This page shows neural interface electrodes and experimental setup for system evaluation. I developed and/or customized all the electrodes used for experiments.

These two videos (left, middle) show cutaneous afferent electroneurogram (ENG) signals at the sciatic nerve generated by mechanical stimulation with a brush under anesthesia: without transcutaneous wireless charging (LEFT), and with transcutaneous wireless charging (MIDDLE). Transcutaneous wireless charging is essential to recharge a battery in the implantable device. This experiment shows that we can record stable ENG signals even during transcutaneous wireless charging. The right side video shows ENG recording from a freely walking rat.
