I work on econometric theory and methods, with interests in spatial and panel econometrics, higher-order moment identification, measurement error, and computational econometrics. My research develops estimation and identification methods for models with spatial dependence, unobserved heterogeneity, and endogenous regressors, alongside interests in satellite data applications to economic questions, including urban form and the measurement of subnational economic growth. The latter connects closely to my interest in measurement error and the use of imperfect indicators to measure economic activity.
I did my PhD in Economics from the University of Arkansas in 2021. I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Aix-Marseille School of Economics from 2021 - 23, before joining North South University
Measuring Economic Growth with a Fully Identified Three-Signal Model
With Andrea Civelli and Arya Gaduh. The Review of Economics and Statistics (2024), advance online publication.
We develop an identified model for measuring economic growth using official GDP and two additional signals. The model recovers the weight assigned to official GDP without calibrating its signal-to-noise ratio.
