Scope of Work: develop the architectural design of the new club house, in accordance with the retro style of the original 1962 existing building (old clubhouse). Remodeled the old club house, developed relay out and total landscape design for the campus. Supervise the implementation of the landscape and new clubhouse and remodeled buildings as well as renew and redesign the infrastructure of the whole facilities.

Scope of Work: led a team of experts to define the natural heritage site management and the local community activities (Dhahab, Southern Sinai) in accordance with the natural heritage and echo tourism charters.

Scope of Work: expand in developing (Sustainable Energy and Climate Change Action Plan, SECAP) for numerous municipalities in Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine and Egypt. Coordinate for urban interventions and liaise for the finance and partnerships. Contribute to the capacity building and training on how to develop SECAP for more than 30 municipalities in Jordan and Palestine and the design of awareness campaigns.

Scope of Work: review regional housing policies and produce the draft strategy for the Arab League state members and review masterplan in accordance with the UN-SDGs, develop guiding policies for the reconstruction projects, prioritizing mass labor and lifesaving urban interventions for the Arab conflict countries. Designed and compile the training program on climate change for selected municipal officials in the Arab region, in collaboration with the EU.

Proj.: Clean Energy Saving in Southern Mediterranean States (CES-MED) Client: EU Title: Municipal Development Expert

Scope of Work: review and compile the sustainability and clean and renewable energy strategy (SECAP) for action cities in Luxor governorate and Hurghada in the Red Sea Governorate, providing the adaptive and mitigation necessary projects, urban and traffic interventions with the preliminary cost and project fiche for banks and financing agencies. Develop preliminary budget for the proposed projects. Logistics for and implement the training for 32 new cities in Egypt on the SECAP. Explored and defined the local communities of the Nile West Bank villages in Luxor for environmental and economic development projects.

Scope of Work: coordinated the activities of the international committee for the above project in its first round (2012 Kuwait), and the second round in 2014 in Qatar, to establish its criteria of project selection and award considerations. Co-reviewed and facilitated the jury work for many projects and art work (inspired from heritage) of different types of heritage projects (tangible and intangible).

PS. I also provided different similar consultation and training and presentations for participants of different Arab countries, as well as co-organizing regional conferences and seminars.

Beneficiaries: Local Community in Faisal District, Haram, Giza, Egypt Title: 

Scope of Work: co-developed training and art training workshops for children of the district, for low income and deprived strata: drawing and music and performed arts (acting) and writing (script writing training for teen and youth. Develop youth and gender supporting programmes for the families of the Syrian refugees to get integrated with their Egyptian counterparts in Faisal District, as well as enable their mothers to produce local crafts to increase their income. Co-organised through coordination between Sahara and Biblotica Alexandrina, Cairo branch (Bait El-Sinari) as well as media for the campaign to exhibit the children and youth performed art shows and exhibitions of their art work and the refugees families.

Proj: Empowering Local Communities for Urban and Environmental Development.

Beneficiaries: Abo Aldahab Development Initiative (CBO) & New Valley, Al-Kharga Oasis. Selected action villages in Fayoum.

Scope of Work: Design public awareness campaigns to enhance community participation to enhance their urban environmental quality, in coordination with localities in Giza Governorate. Define action areas as in collaboration with field force teams, mainly in Giza Governorate, Fayoum and New Valley Governorate. Liaise with the localities to facilitate community shared developments and facilities.
