If you’re at a dinner with your family and someone starts talking, don’t talk when they’re still talking because that’s rude. If you do that, then you’re interrupting them. Instead, wait until that person is done talking. If they say something that you wanted to say, then don’t say, "Hey, I wanted to say that!"  Just talk about something else.
