3. Are dedicated to clarifying the benefits of mindfulness and yoga interventions for adolescents exposed to significant adversities 

4. Have an interest in advanced statistical approaches (e.g., structural equation modeling, multi-level modeling, latent profile analysis, mixed effects models; previous experience is not required) and/or mixed methods (e.g., qualitative data analysis, photovoice)

The admissions deadline for the Clinical Psychology PhD program is December 1st. Of note, our program is currently an APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Program, and we are not accepting any students into the Counseling Psychology program.

The Clinical Psychology PhD program is requesting that prospective applicants submit a research statement. This research statement should be no more than 2–3 typewritten pages describing your development and interests as a psychological scientist. The statement should address:

1. Your previous and current research experiences

2. The research questions and topics that you are interested in pursuing in graduate school

3. How your research interests align with the work that we are doing within the AHEAD lab

4. How this PhD will help you to meet your long-term career goals

5. You may also describe relevant clinical or applied experiences insofar as they have informed your development as a researcher or your research interests

Given the Clinical Psychology PhD program follows a clinical science model, applicants should use this statement to demonstrate their interest in and preparation for research-intensive doctoral training. The faculty are particularly interested in understanding how your research experiences have shaped your scientific interests, the kinds of questions you hope to investigate during graduate training, and why CSU's Clinical Psychology program is an appropriate environment for your development as a clinical scientist.
