the Western society has undergone 3 Industrial Revolutions which changed how large scale structures and communities are built
we are currently in the 4th which is the Information Era characterized by the physical and the digital
architectural practice/education largely Eurocentric and fails to address cultural richness of Black architecture
Black Americans and African architecture centered around the inhabitants and their lifestyle/socialized structures
women and minorities of color experience institutional and workplace discrimination
architecture can advance social justice through designing equitable shelter

implementing support programs for designers of color to develop an inclusive educational/professional culture
educating youth interested in STEM subjects in low-income and underfunded urban communities so they have the same opportunities as wealthier and/or white counterparts
doing so will help designers embrace design complexities that arise during the design process and inspire new designers to bring their creative excellence to the field
