Drill can be done with both partners holding a knife - alternate - 6 moves then swap.
Objectives: At this level, students are continuing to focus on defensive techniques (slip, parry and check) to stay inside the distance when under pressure. They will also learn to deflect Front Kick and add spinning kicks in combination with hand techniques.

Double sleeves from rear > C12 Step behind and throw
Double hands grab > C9 Wrist and Shoulder Throw - one hand releases upwards and strikes solar plexus - apply the wrist and should lock on the other hand (attacker does side fall – not turning side fall) > apply finishing lock – attacker has their back on the floor, arm curled up locking wrist on ground, pressing down on elbow, knee pressing down on their ribs – other arm raised ready to punch
Single Wrist grab (same hand). Circle outwards and step to the outside at the same time, apply upward pressure to the elbow while holding their hand against your stomach C8 Arm Bar (ensure your front foot is under the point of contact on their elbow so your legs can contribute to the upwards force being applied to their elbow). Step forward, apply pressure to elbow with your triceps (turn your thumb downwards and keep their hand against your stomach until they are launched forward) attacker goes into cat roll and turns to face you.
Downward knifehand strike to head. Step to outside, block and merge with strike, pull opponent off balance then go under arm into C7 Hammer Lock and Gooseneck (be next to attacker - not behind attacker for hammer lock before going into the gooseneck) > push shoulder forwards forcing opponent to spin to face you, step forwards to meet them, C11 Hip Throw and finish with a punch and kyup.
Tea cup movement. 8 times alternating sides.
Archer movement. 8 times alternating sides.
Skin in inner thigh – side headlock
