Course Overview
Both climate change π‘οΈ and anthropogenic activities π are pushing many species to the brink of extinction or altering their known ranges in an unprecedented manner globally π. In this short course, I intend to introduce the basics, intermediate and advanced concepts of species distribution modeling π§βπ». It is a concept that models a species' niche and projects it over geographic space to display the potential suitable habitat of the species πΊοΈ and helps in planning conservation strategies accordingly. Towards the end of the course, we will use our trained ecological niches to make predictions for the species in the future π.
