THE CONTINENTAL THERMOREGULATOR

Academically, the movement of groundwater has been studied separately from surface water and climatology. The Agroclimatic Geotechnologies Mihalcea and Zara, demonstrate the strong interactions between groundwater, surface water, soil moisture and climate. It is introduced the concept of The Continental Thermoregulator.

The Earth's Surface heats up from The Sun, and The Atmosphere (Troposphere) heats up from The Earth's Surface, achieving The Earth's Thermal Equilibrium.

But, on a continental scale, the agro-forestry technical degradation of soils, plus the deforestation, put in disarray the way The Earth's Surface heats up from The Sun, put in disarray the way The Atmosphere (Troposphere) heats up from The Earth's Surface, put in disarray the way The Earth's Thermal Equilibrium is achieved, because the water of soils has the function of Continental Thermoregulator.

The agro-forestry technical degradation puts The Continental Thermoregulator in malfunction, by decreasing the water capacity of soils. At Earth's Surface, soils are superheated during the day and accentually cooled during the night (the result in the lithosphere), and the air temperature and its movements are influenced accordingly (the result in the atmosphere), also the temperature of water from continental and oceanic precipitation (the result in the hydrosphere).

The melting of polar ice, as well as the melting of mountain glaciers, dampens thermal shock, so that temperature differences between day and night, but also atmospheric turbulence remain bearable. When this "thermal shock absorber" stops working, without repairs to get The Earth's Thermal Equilibrium out of the disarray, climate change could become unbearable.

THE AGRO-FORESTRY TECHNICAL DESERTIFICATION

The malfunctions of The Water Circuit in The Underground Agro-Forestry Waters' Sector:

The water from atmospheric precipitation is not sufficiently retained in agricultural degraded lands, nor in forestry degraded lands.

The result is a circulation of these waters underground, towards the channels of flowing waters that have become insufficiently roomy, and the waters overflow.

In Agrogeotechnics, the water from atmospheric precipitation becomes Flood-water, if it is not retained as Agricultural-water, or as Forestry-water.

Floods accompanied by the soil drought indicate the manifestation in The Stage (I) for The Agrotechnical Desertification and for The Forestry Desertification, both irreversible by natural ways.
In The Stage (II), the underground erosion lowers the hydrographic plane below the level of rivers, the water is accumulated in the depth of the earth and thus leaves the circuit. At the surface, the flowing waters become intermittent until extinction, and the amount of water that returns to the atmosphere through evaporation from the soil and through plant transpiration is greatly reduced.
In The Stage (III), atmospheric drought + soil drought + wind erosion = complete desertification.

Local and regional, the geological profile allows or does not allow underground erosion, allows or does not allow the evolution of desertification - the stages (II) and (III).

SIGNS OF AGRO-FORESTRY TECHNICAL DESERTIFICATION in the countries of The European Union, in The United States of America and anywhere in the world: floods + pedological drought + devitalization of soils + accentuation of temperature differences between day and night + increase in atmospheric turbulence + spontaneous wildfires of vegetation.

The Spontaneous Wildfires of Vegetation and The Agro-Forestry Technical Degradation:

The vegetation which transpires cannot be set on fire by insolation. If there is a lack of water in the soil, the vegetation does not transpire and spontaneous wildfires occur. Soil drought is a result of agro-forestry technical degradation.

1) Air pollution by volcanism is previous to industrial age and thousands of times higher (the volcanic relief and more). The climatic disturbances, when they occur, are temporary, until The Atmospheric System actively eliminates this enormous pollution.

The prophets of the greenhouse gas religion have an obligation to demonstrate: does a balloon filled with carbon dioxide rise from the Earth's surface and ascend into the upper troposphere?

Why does carbon dioxide not mix into atmospheric air therefore it forms a "blanket" at the upper level of The Tropsphere!
Why carbon dioxide ceases to be soluble in rainwater!

2) The tiered organization of The Atmospheric System is previous to the industrial age, and the level called Thermosphere records temperatures of 1500-1800-2000 Degrees Celsius, and in The Troposphere, the location of ordinary weather phenomena, the temperature varies within wide limits, depending on the season, on the time of day or night, on the latitude, on the altitude.

3) The agro-forestry technical desertification and associated climate changes are predating the industrial age. In the world, most deserts have anthropogenic, agro-forestry technical origin. Once The Mechanism of The Desert is installed, the arid area expands further, without technical interventions, which is why, many deserts thousands of years old, today are considered natural. Regarding the causes, in the literature, deforestation competes with the great irrigation systems of antiquity.

4) The average value of the content of Carbon Dioxide in the Atmosphere is 0.030% - 0.045%. But, the main Environmental Impact, including the Ecological, Geophysical and Climate Modelling = The agrotechnics on a continental scale + The intervention on forests. Only in a theoretical and speculative setting, in which The Earth is considered a planet devoid of water, only within this framework, would be reasonable as a hypothesis: Cause No.1 of Climate Change = Greenhouse Gas Emissions.

The geotechnical interventions for soil water retention, combating underground erosion and repairing the water's circuit in the Underground Agro-Forestry Waters' Sector, fall within the new interdisciplinary framework of Climatic Geotechnics, respectively The Engineering of Agro-industrial Landscape, The Agrogeotechnics, The Agroclimatic Geotechnologies:

mechanized interventions of agro-geotechnical engineering to retain atmospheric water at the surface and in the soil profile;
works aimed at reducing underground erosion and restoring the water table;
measures to prevent combined phenomena: floods associated with soil drought.

KEOPS ANTIARIDITY (1) for stopping agro-forestry technical desertification and for climate repairs, are line agrogeotechnical interventions, with heavy machinery of the existing classes. Technical intervention and emergency management oppose floods and desertification, before the installation of The Mechanism of The Desert (floods + pedological drought + disorderly precipitations).

The "Keops Antiaridity 1 Technological Strategy" combines geotechnical engineering with modern simulation and monitoring technologies, to address two major challenges: stopping desertification and preventing floods in degraded agricultural and forestry areas.

Through the controlled realization of a Semipermeable Underground Barrier with dual function – 1) of retaining underground agro-forestry water (Underground Prosthesis "Keops Antiaridity" for Forest Belt) and 2) damming against floods (Underground Dam "Keops Antiaridity") – the strategy makes it possible to restore the natural function of soils, and is part of a broader agro-forestry terraforming and climate change adaptation effort, including through the use of "deep vibrocompaction" and "deep dynamic compaction" technologies.

The Proposed Strategic Partnership (The Institute of Agroclimatic Geotechnologies Mihalcea and Zara + Caterpillar + Fugro + IBM) raises the intervention plan to the level of a true "Keops Antiaridity 1 Mechanization", oriented towards the development of sustainable and replicable eco-technological solutions for various types of terrain. The results obtained through virtual simulations and pilot tests will represent a solid basis for the expansion of the project regionally and internationally, thus contributing to the protection of water resources, the restoration of ecosystems and The Edenization of The Earth's Thermal Equilibrium.

KEOPS ANTIARIDITY (2) for the agricultural and agro-forestry terraforming of deserts, and for climate repairs, are surface agrogeotechnical interventions, either with heavy machinery systems of the existing classes, or with agrogeotechnical combined machines (non-existent heavy machinery). It is an extended app for the agriculture of some areas with historical aridity (after the installation of The Mechanism of The Desert: insufficient precipitation for agriculture + drought + low river flows, until extinction).

The large-scale development of The Combined Machinery "Keops Antiaridity 2" for the agrogeotechnical interventions, inspired by the models in mining and underground infrastructure, makes it possible to agriculturally terraforming of deserts and appropriate climate repairs.

Given the enormous volume of soil to be processed, the need to operate at depths of 1–2 meters and the technological examples in the field of tunnelling and mining machinery, the concept calls for intense interdisciplinary collaboration to produce modular and robust equipment, capable of physically reconfiguring of the soil, thus optimizing the "field capacity for water" and accordingly repairing The Continental Thermoregulator.

Agricultural and Agro-Forestry Terraforming of Arid Regions: States can implement The "Keops Antiaridity" Interventions for The Hydro-Rehabilitation of Degraded or Desertified Soils and for combating the effects of climate change by Reactivating Natural Continental Thermoregulation.

The "Keops Antiaridity" Management - requires a legal framework, the model being The Soil Conservation Act/1935 in The United States.

Introduces the following units of measure:

1 agroterra, 1AG = 10,000 Km2, for lands;

The "Keops Antiaridity" Virtual Simulator (KAVS) - models the mechanized interventions for repairing The Continental Thermoregulator and reports them to the interactions between groundwater, surface water, soil moisture, and climate.

Considering the "State of Emergency" for "combating the causes and impacts of climate change on water basins and water-related ecosystems" and considering the need for a substantiation both for "regional and international cooperation" and for "integrated water-related mitigation and adaptation measures in national climate policies", we show the COP29 Presidency that a useful "Outcome Declaration" will indicate the sphere of causes + the sphere of effects + the sphere of solutions:

1) Recognition of the earth sciences - geology, oceanology, hydrology, pedology, agronomy - in the sphere of causes, together with the atmospheric sciences - meteorology and climatology - in the sphere of effects.
