In-service training
In our in-service training that we conducted at Eastern Tennessee Region, In this training, agents explored the practical applications of agroforestry with a special focus on integrating crops into forest and farm landscapes.(Dr. Tecimen), ginseng cultivation, management, and marketing potential of American ginseng, a high-value medicinal crop native to Tennessee woodlands (Dr. Ying Gao from MTSU), and cultivation of on hardwood logs, a practice that provides rapid returns and requires minimal land disturbance (Dr. Sougata Bardhan-TSU).
